Cookut launched their first 'Zero Waste' product line back in 2019, with the aim to create sustainable products to replace everyday disposable utensils and thus make a step towards a healthier planet.
Sustainability is now an essential ingredient and at the heart of Cookut's creative process. Each year, 4 billion toothbrushes and many more plastic items including cutlery are thrown away around the world. These products are not recycled and take 200 years to decompose. Much of which is found in the ocean, causing the death of marine species and the destruction of our marine eco-sysyem.
